In 2017, Rob Ramo, with the help of His father, photographer tom ehrlich, and Mike lazarus, started to put together a band to perform the material from his album, "two coasts | Un sol".  He needed a group of individuals who could navagate between the Native music of puerto rico, Cali Funk, salsa, and jazz while maintaining that hip hop feel.  He decided to make the lead instrument the "cuatro puertorriqueño", a four string guitar fashioned in Puerto Rico.

The band is mainly made up of Boricuas from all walks of life.  He put this band together to get young latinos in touch with their Caribbean roots. The blend of hip-hop lyrics and island rhythms is what reaches them. Makes the cultural bond stronger so they can continue to move it forward.
